Whimsical at its best! That is what comes to my mind when I look at these eyelashes. So what so you feel like sporting today? Some butterflies or maybe some sea horses or how about some peacock feathers :D. Paperself intends to cater to your every mood and is bent on transporting you to your fantasy mythical world. Whether lashes for the entire lash line or half lashes to be placed on the outer corners or the lower lash this range provides it all. A pair can set you back anywhere from 10.5 to 14 pounds (around Rs. 817 to Rs. 1089) . The artist in me loves the flirty-ness of them!

Glossybox is going to start its premium beauty subscription service in India by March (Update - they will not be launching in March but sometime later in the year due to some problems). After establishing its presence in 14 countries across the globe it is finally coming to our country! You will be given the opportunity to experience 5 luxury products ranging from makeup to hair care to skin all for a nominal fee of Rs. 700/- a month. Plus the best part is that you can earn Glossypoints (how cute) by creating a buzz or reviewing the service/products. And - wait for it - a 1000 Glossypoints will get you a month subscription (which is 1 box) free! I'm super excited about it and cant wait for it to start and submitted my mail details with them. I hope they put up a list brands that they will offer soon on their website.

Well ladies this is my first review of a nail paint for you. Though nails are mainly Dimpy's forte with her flair for nail art I'm more of conventional types in this regard. Mind you I don't have any qualms about getting nail art done from the salon but I have neither the patience nor the artistic flair of my sister to do my own :p. Any-hoo I jumped on the Cherry Culture bandwagon and bought this from there. I found the concept of Metallic nail paint  very interesting and choose this lovely greenish blue color. Honestly though I don't see the "metallic" look in it. It is beautiful shade and has shimmer in it but does not look metallic to me.

It is very thin in consistency as you can see in the pics below and I need 3 coats to completely cover my nails and not have the base color of the nail seen (I don't like that). But surprisingly even though it requires 3 coats it does not chip off very soon. In my experience whenever I layer more than 2 coats my nail paint chips very fast. This stays on perfectly for little over week. I just saw some fray on the tips like a hair thin line of my nail could be seen by the 4th-5th day but no other chipping.

I have adjusted the color tone of my pics as they paint looked completely blue in the original. They now look exactly how the color is on my nails. I do remember seeing this brand in Chennai. Maybe they are available in other parts of the country by now. But you can always get them online. I paid 2.50$ (approx Rs. 125 - not including shipping since I bought a couple of products along with it).

I know a lot of you must have waited for the final result of this experiment and I really do apologize for this delay but as some of you may know that I was recovering from a severe illness and whatever energy I gathered I spent it in catching up with my work. But I'm here now with the final result rather more like the result I can see after discontinuing the use of the product. Me and my mom were both using this product and I was even trying it out on a little patch on my scalp. So after using it for about 1 month and 14 days I ran out of the product (for a single person using it daily I think this tube can last for 3 months easily in my opinion). And let me tell you ladies that this product works. Now it is not like I'm Miss-Bushy-Eyebrows or anything but it did thicken and darken my existing hair and I did see some new growth too.

I have already ordered a new pack and intend to use it for as long as possible. And the best part is that after a month of stopping the usage of the product my eyebrows have not reverted back to their original state. Even my mom is quite happy with the result. She is the biggest skeptic and did not believe that the product would do anything at all and that I have wasted my money on a gimmick :). But after a week and on seeing the difference she would make it a point to apply it vigilantly every night and even went on to remind me to apply it :). The result will definitely differ from person to person. All I can say is that do give it a shot. It will not disappoint. I bought my recent one from a site called Blanc to Noir where they were having a special discount on the product and it was available for 17.50$ instead of its retail price of 25$ (porkdaisy was selling it for 23$).

I got my 1st box of Blisscovered! Yea! I heard a lot of people talking about this new form of service being offered in India and I was intrigued. I have always been apprehensive in buying high end skin care products as even though the brand might be good and I might have heard some great reviews about the product but when I try it out for myself after spending all that moolah it turns out that the product does not suit my skin (Aargh!). Don't get me wrong - I have no issues spending big bucks for a product that works on me but I'm not inclined to end up wasting my money "testing" out these high end products to find my right fit. And lets face it the SA's don't really dish out "free" samples for you to try out unless you have already dished out the big bucks (whats the point of keeping samples if you don't try to win in new customers??).

Any-hoo. Blisscovered is definitely the answer to my prayers and for Rs. 700/- for a month (Rs 1900/- for 3 months) I think that its a pretty good deal. Lets face it an average price that you would have to dish out for a product to lay your hands on some samples for one brand would be around 2500-3000 bucks. But here I'm paying 700 and getting stuff from 4-5 different companies. Not bad!

Some of the brands offered by them are:

I loved the packing that they provided - so elegant and classy. There were so many layers to it which goes to show the amount to effort and attention to detail they put into the concept. The choice of color was refreshing - Lavender rather than the obvious pink. The personalized letter and the list of products were quite unexpected and much appreciated :) . They provided a full sized product valued at Rs. 250/- plus a gift coupon of Rs. 300/- off the next full sized product purchase off their website. I got 2 skin care products (Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate and YSL Top Secrets Natural Action Exfoliator), a hair product (Forest Essentials Bhrami Hair Oil), a perfume (Diesel Loverdose) and a lip care product (Omved Mint Lip Balm - full sized).

I have smelled a perfume which was exactly the same as Loverdose. I cant recall which one was it. It is a good fragrance for people who like spicy tones (I like it) but for me I give it a pass as I have smelt something exactly like it and I like to wear unique smelling perfumes. The lip balm was decent. I don't suffer from chapped lips just a bit of dryness now and then. I felt that it gave a light coverage when I applied it and I didn't really feel heavily moisturized (think Vaseline lip balm) so was skeptic about it. But now as I sit here writing this post some 60 mins or so after applying it I realized that my lips are not feeling that pull of dryness anymore but are feeling normal in condition (read non dry). I'm not sure about how effective it will be for people with really chapped lips.

Well Lancome and Forest Essentials products need some vigilant testing over a time period before I can comment over them. But I really like the YSL product. I did a half face test and when I looked into the mirror after removing the product the first thing my eyes where drawn to was the treated half of my face. It had a nice glow about it. My skin smooth and clear and the pore size was significantly diminished. This is not your run-of-the-mill exfoliator with granules in it (does not contain any!). It is a gel which on applying to your skin and massaging with your fingers (needs the warmth) turns into a light oil base. This is then dampened a little so that it changes to an emulsion and is then massaged again and washed off. A few minutes to get glowing fresh skin! This is a definite must buy for me :)

Loved my experience of the 1st box and am quite tempted to continue with the service. Would love to get a makeup product the next time though..Anyone listening from Blisscovered? ;) Until next time gals and do mention in the comment box below if you have subscribed to the service and what goodies did you get in yours.
