Hey guys! I want to quickly share with you what I wore to the recent Drops of Youth launch event. A little trivia of sorts before that...did you know that Ritu Kumar actually started her design journey from Kolkata. She opened her first boutique out here way back in the day ie a good 20 years or so ago. My Di was a lover of designer clothes and would buy stuff only from the boutiques spread out in the city. Back then there weren't mass clothes brands per say. Ritu Kumar was her favorite and I remember going to the Park Street store quite often. This jacket I'm wearing is one of my sister's Ritu Kumar pieces and was probably a part of a suit set. I love the detailing on it with its intricate Indian patterns and those rich blue hues.

| The Body Shop Drops of Youth |
Did you know that Drops of Youth skin serum is one of the best selling products at The Body Shop where one bottle is sold every 28 secs! It is a part of their Nutraganics range and 98% of its ingredients are of natural origin. To complement this popular product The Body Shop recently launched an eye concentrate and held a big event out here to celebrate it. It was a two part thing where in the morning Jacqueline Fernandez, their brand ambassador, came and met the media and customers in the morning and then in the evening a bloggers meet was held. This has been their 3rd event in this city so far and as always it is such a pleasure to interact with their team members.
Sun is shining, the weather is sweet now
Make you want to move your dancing feet
- Bob Marley
I was feeling extremely low since the last few days for no reason whatsoever. Nothing was wrong yet everything was...I was literally "under the weather"! My melancholic mood made me dislike everything around and was sapping what little energy I have. But enough was enough and I had to just pull out of this slump! I don't like to mope about feeling "victimized"...in fact I despise it and people who have that attitude. There is nothing in this world that cant be dealt with or turned around... I remember one of my college professors saying that when we ladies feel good we dress up...and when we feel bad we should dress up even more so that it helps us come out of the funk and feel good about ourselves. Wiser words were never spoken :D

Beauty Formulas Relaxing & Healing Foot Mask
Whaz up chicas! Ok so from today onward I'm starting a new section on the blog - The Mask Informer. I had to make a separate section for it courtesy all the beauty boxes I have been getting! I have a Sample Corner in which I would cover these but somehow it didn't seem to be a good fit to me anymore. Sometimes these sheets are sold individually so it didn't seem fair to categorize them as samples. Well each mask type will be treated individually and by that I mean the review and ranking system will be specific to it and not a generic one. The tub packing ones will get a product scorecard in the end while the sheet masks will have the thumbs rating as you had seen in the sample corner. With that out of the way lets get on with the review...

Korean culture as a whole is a big craze worldwide now and for good reason. They put in so much style and panache in whatever they do. You come across the darnedest things on Instagram :D From the completely weird and kooky to some of the most genius and creative. I love browsing through my feed each day! Btw if you want to see what I post you can follow me at (insert shameless self promotion here :P ) - http://instagram.com/leospice19. Well now that's out of the way lets go back to the topic. I saw a couple of MUA's that I follow on insta talk about this Makeup Eraser and I was quite flummoxed! How can a a piece of cloth remove makeup sans any product?!? Just water?!? What about that makeup remover? Or the oodles of cotton? Or the face wash? Or that constant rubbing and tugging??? Ok I need to see this for myself! Luckily my sis was about to drop by from US so I asked her to get this for me. Btw they have recently started International shipping.
Hello doves! About a month back I was out shopping with my sisters...they all live away from home and after a long time my Di was in town. It was so much fun to go out shopping with them after so long. We literally descended on the stores like warriors on a mission :D Since Diwali was around the corner the stores were packed with new stock in all colors of the rainbow and beyond. I especially love browsing the in house brand of Lifestyle called Melange and they do very pretty pieces with a whole boho chic vibe to them. I spotted a sister piece of the one I'm wearing and so fell in love with the riot colors in it. The deep blue body part in that was a deep sea green and the yolk was a mix of pinks and purple. Then I spotted this piece and quickly added it to my growing pile of trial outfits.
Hello pretty people! Can you believe that the year is coming to an end?!? Diwali came and went...and now we shall settle into a nice cold spell (hopefully) while waiting for the new year to come in. This is my favorite time of the year where we are enjoying festivities one after the other. Unfortunately this time around I was out cold with a viral :( Had the damnedest time trying to prep for the occasion while trying to not faint right out on my feet :P Well what is Diwali without some bling and Zotiqq came up with the perfect thing to cater to your bauble needs.
I remember the time when MAC had just entered Kolkata and set up its 1st store here. The entire concept of the brand and combined with the appeal of its store used to draw me like a kid looking at a shiny new toy. But somehow my mind had this perception that the brand was too expensive and only celebs would be able to afford the stuff. I didn't have it in me to even venture inside and look around. Since I couldn't afford it the exercise seemed pointless. But one day I decided enough was enough and I would just go in and buy what I liked, to heck with the price! And to my utter surprise once I walked in it was a whole different atmosphere. Not only were the products somethings I could afford but the entire way the staff treated me was a joy and a half. And we all know, that I haven't looked back since :D
