I got my February edition of the Blisscovered box and I was really happy to see a makeup product included this time. Over all the collection of items were very good and they sent over quite big sample sizes for most of the products. And the box got a make over too :). It is a shiny lavender finish this time around.

Coming to the products, I got Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Balancing Softener 25 ml, H2O Spa Hydrating Body Butter 30 ml,  CK One Shock Perfume 1.2 ml, Omved Tired Foot Soak 40 gms and Chambor Stay-On Waterproof Eye Pencil in Forever Blue.

Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Balancing Softener - this is something that I have used before and I must say that it is a really nice product. This is supposed to act like a toner. So for people who have problems with alcohol in their toners can use this alternative and it does the job well. This paired with the Brightening Emulsion really helps to even out the complexion and make it glow. Price is Rs. 2850/- for 150 ml.

H2O Spa Hydrating Body Butter - Ok I read few other people's review of this where they say that they love the smell of this and it had me stumped! When you take a whiff of it then it does have a nice smell but if you continue to smell it and get to the base note it kinda smelled like Fevicol-ish to me (like how it smells when dried). Now the thing is when you have it on your skin after sometime it gives off the base note smell. Could be just me but I'm calling it like I smelt it. As a butter it is good. It is not heavy in nature and provides a decent amount of hydration. I think it is ideal for people with dry skin in summers. Price is Rs. 1190/- for 240 ml.

CK One Shock Perfume - I must admit I'm a fan of the CK One perfume. And the Shock version is pretty good in itself. It is very floral by nature with a touch of oriental which makes it the perfect day scent for summers. It has top notes of passion flower, pink peony and poppy. Its heart is made of feminine jasmine, narcissus, blackberry and dark cocoa. The base consists of amber, vanilla, musk and patchouli. This will definitely be a part of my perfume wish list. Price is Rs. 2025/- for 50 ml and Rs. 2725/-  for 100 ml (there are a lot of online sites where I'm sure you could get it for a lesser price).

Omved Tired Foot Soak - This one I'm yet to try out. But I do like Omved products. I have visited their store in Mumbai when they started out and had bought a hair pack which was packed in those old time ceramic pickle jars. Really cute! Coming to the foot soak - it comes in this assorted salt crystals and has a strong peppermint smell which gets slightly cut by another smell which I'm guessing is the lemon. The combination of the two scents takes the bite out of the peppermint smell and makes the overall effect pleasant and soothing. Price is Rs. 300/- for 100 gms.

Chambor Stay-On Waterproof Eye Pencil in Forever Blue - This is my first Chambor product ever. Ok when I first tried it on I was not happy with the product. I was taking swatches on my skin and I felt that it was very dry and tugged my skin. I then tried it out on my eyes and had to go over a few times to get the color and had the tug problem again. I was ready to write it off. But for fairness sake I tried swatching it again before writing this post and was pleasantly surprised to see that it did not tug on my skin this time. I tried my eyelid again and thought I got a slight tug but it was definitely easier to put it on this time around. So just a little up for you when you go to try it for the first time around. I really like the color. It is a very pretty dark blue shade and it does stay on for a long time. Price is Rs. 370/-

Well that's it for the February edition. Do stay tuned for the March edition of the box (what can I say - I'm hooked! ;) ). Later Divas! And as a parting shot here is a pic of Mickey enjoying the box (I swear he would not let me take a pic without him. He loves to smell the box!).

Hello Ladies! I'm super excited to be reviewing this product. I was finally able to lay my hands on it thanks to my sis. And she got me my favorite print too :D . The pack contains 2 blister packs of the nail appliques, an orange stick and a nail buffer. According to the given instruction sheet you first wipe your nails with nail polish remover to get rid to old paint and dirt. Then you take the stick and push back your cuticles if necessary and then go on to use the buffer. Now you are ready for the appliques.

I used 1 blister pack on my nails and needed another 2 strips from the 2nd pack. The smallest and biggest sizes in the pack did not fit me. And I was able to cut 2 strips in half and split it between 2 fingers of the same size. Ok I did not have an easy time with it. I think the pack might be old or it got dried up for some reason. I used the first applique and found that it was not sticking to my nail!!! I was like WTF?! I re-read the instruction and found I had followed the steps to a T. In the end I used transparent nail paint as base and stuck the appliques on top. By then I was like they show on the instructions video online that it is so easy to apply and stuff but this stuff's not :(.

I had 2 nails left and opened the 2nd pack for them. Immediately I noticed the difference in the texture of the appliques. These were much softer and malleable compared to first set I used which kinda felt like thin paper. These ones I was able to easily stick to my nails without using anything and they glided on like a dream. So do keep that in mind when buying this product. Price of the product is $12.99 (you can get them for $7.99 at allcosmeticswholesale.com). But in the end they look da bomb! In the pics the base color looks silver but in actuality it is a very pale champagne gold color which provides the perfect background  to the colors of the print. A must buy ladies!

Lush India is having a sale people! They are clearing out their Christmas collection for 50% off and this is specially for their online ordered purchases. I just could not resist when I heard about it. I bought 3 soaps from their Christmas collection - Snow Globe (Price - Rs. 300.90/- for 100 gms, I paid Rs 148/- ), Northern Lights (Price - Rs. 395.20/- for 100 gms, I paid Rs 190/- ) and Snow Cake (Price - Rs. 358.80/- for 100 gms, I paid Rs 173/- ). Apart from this I bought a new product called Toothy Tabs in Aquatic (Price Rs. 420/-). I will talk about this more later in the post. I was charged Rs. 262/- for shipping :p.

The Goodies!!

Snow Globe:

Its a light mint green color soap with white soap halves in it. In its description it mentions that it contains lemon myrtle and grapefruit in it. Actually all you can smell is the lemon scent which is quite strong. I cant smell any grapefruit at all. If you don't like citrus smell then so steer clear of it. I was kinda excited about it when I read grapefruit but now I'm actually disappointed. I have not used any of the products so cant comment on that. But first impression is - so so.

Northern Lights:

This is a neon yellow plus green color soap. As weird as it looks it smells just as awesome. It has a very fresh feeling scent with pine, cypress and lime in it. All the fragrances balance each other out. I got this because I liked the description they had given on the site. But I was not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised with it and now it is my favorite of the lot. First impression - Love it!

Snow Cake:

When I read that it smells like marzipan I knew I just had to get it! It is white in color and has some gold dust on top. When you first smell the soap then you are hit with the scent of bitter almonds which is quite unpleasant but when you get past that then it has a very nice musky floral sort of smell. I was the most disappointed with this as I had high expectations of it. If only the almond smell was absent then this was a definite hit! First impression - boo.

Aquatic Toothy Tabs:

It is supposed to be a solid toothpaste. You are supposed to break it between your front teeth and using a wet toothbrush brush your mouth. I found the idea really interesting as it is a small pack and so much easier to carry than your regular toothpaste while travelling. The pack contains 40 tabs.

I have been wanting to try out a matte nail paint for the longest time. I was not aware that NYX made nail paints. I stumbled upon this discovery while browsing Cherry Culture. It comes out a deep brown on the nails. What I don't like about it is that it chips very fast. By the 2-3rd day it chips off quite a bit and you have to retouch or remove it. Needless to say you cant protect it with a top coat as it will take away the matte effect. To be very honest I didn't like the matte finish it provides. Since it was my 1st matte nail paint I cant really comment on the fact if it is the norm but I will compare it with others later on. I paid 3$ for it.

Hello Ladies. So this review has taken quite some time but I felt that I needed to do justice with the product and try it out over a period of time before giving my final take on it. I use this regularly ie it is my present conditioner and use it after every shampoo. I have used this for more than 2 months easily and lets just say that I'm not impressed. But first I think you need a little profile about my hair to understand me better. I have mid back length hair which is fine in nature and is straight for 3/4 of the length and remaining is permed. My hair is mostly dry especially the permed part.

The first thing that I do is shampoo my hair and then apply the conditioner to my entire hair baring my roots/scalp. I then tie my hair up and finish with the rest of my bath. In the end I wash out my hair. The conditioner gets anywhere from 5 to 10 mins to work in my hair. Since it is winters I need to use the hair dryer to dry my scalp mainly or else I will end up with a cold.

Ok the best way I can describe how my hair feels after is "normal" ie neither too dry and neither soft/conditioned. If I touch it from the top as in run my hand along the hair shaft it feels ok but when I run my fingers through my hair it feels dry to me. And I'm talking about the straight portion of my hair. Lets not even go to the permed portion. It has done nothing for the shine translation I don't have any and its use over time has not improved the condition of my hair. I end up reaching for my hair serum in the end to bring it to the level of softness I prefer.

I require this much quantity to cover my entire hair.

The product is supposed to be for fine to normal hair types. It has a light texture and a pleasant smell. Price is Rs 699/- for 150 gms of product (you can get it for Rs. 664.05 at 365gorgeous.in). Ok let me just say something. By no means am I saying bad things about this product and writing it off. I just want to point out that it didn't work for me and my hair type. For people who don't have the problem of dry hair I think this product can work decently enough. So in the end understand your hair type and then decide if you want to give it a go. Until next time - Cheers!
