I thought of doing something different for you guys. I am a self confessed hoarder and always end up "stocking" stuff much more than I need. One of my weaknesses per say are perfumes. Though their quantity doesn't come close to the number of shoes or the amount of makeup in my stash (among other things :P) but I do tend to indulge in them from time to time. Always on the look out for unique things how can that exclude what I like in perfumes. My sister used to love them and had a HUGE collection long back. So there are many scents I'm familiar with. And I try to find something that I haven't smelt before. I have a fetish for amber and musk tones and trying to find a balance between my attraction to these notes and my fondness for uniqueness becomes a challenge.
Do you remember dream sequences shown in movies? An open field filled with flowers...A woman in a flowing dress walking among them with her features shadowed by the bright sun....a profile running through the flowers with joy and sheer abandon. That feeling of freedom and utter happiness....Some dreams are like that. Hold that kind of image in your head. You have this feeling of want and un-fulfillment till you realize them. Some have this air of un-reachability to them. But hey as the saying goes....you should always dream big. Travel has been my biggest dream especially travelling the world.
Hey there my sweet! It has been awhile since I last did a NOTD. Long story...I was too lazy to go for a badly needed manicure and in that process my nails ended up breaking. So I had to wait it out for them to acquire a decent length again. But now I'm back, manicured and all :D, with some basic dotting art that I tried out. Turned out ok...if it would have been a tad neater it would have been da bomb! I got the dotting tool and neon beads from Born Pretty. You can use the code SKT10 and get yourself 10% off.
Hey everyone! Doing a tutorial after a very long time and I realized that Im very rusty with it. I hope you guys like it. Created a very simple and easy to do look which looks quite glam yet classy. You can pair it with red lips like me for the diva look or any other lipstick of your choice to tone it done. So lets get started shall we...
I so so so wanted to step foot into a Sephora! Even more so an international one! Just the thought of the amazing brands I could get my hands on there left me in a tizzy and for someone who has been sighing over some of the new launches and not been able to get her hands on coveted items the mere thought that I would finally get to experience Sephora left a twinkle in my eye and a spring in my step. The whole trip to Singapore was one major whirlwind from start to finish as it was a very last minute thing and we had very few days to prepare for it as well in the city itself.
I swear that if one more person I know asks me why I'm not married yet with pity in their eyes I'm going to toss them off the nearest cliff! I get looked at as if I have failed to achieve a milestone in my life and the sad looks that I get is just pathetic. Why is it that a woman cant be identified as herself? Why does she have to have a tag hanging around her neck saying "Wife", "Mother", etc. Why is it that you are considered a failure or lacking if you don't join in the long line of miserable people with hoards of screaming children. It is so sad to see that women themselves will judge you coz you fail to tag yourself.
I think we have so far established the fact that I'm an online shopping fanatic! The ease and convenience that it offers is unbeatable. Albeit there is something to be said about the joy of actually browsing the aisles and finding that really unique item. But online shopping puts the world at your feet with endless possibilities. Earlier it was only the international sites which were drawing in customers with their wide range of brands and products. But in recent times our Indian counterparts have caught up in a big way and have brought this experience to the masses. However one niche was being ignored and that was the availability of genuine discount coupons.
Hello my pretties! I have been meaning to do a giveaway since the longest time especially to show you my appreciation for all the love and affection you have shown! My last one was when the blog had crossed 500+ likes on Facebook. Well it is 12k+ strong now and it gets better everyday. Thank you so much for your love and support. And to shown just how much you mean to me I have a special treat! I will be giving away a coral bag from the Mac Stroke of Midnight collection.
Hey my lovely people! Today I have a treat from you for one of my favorite online stores - Born Pretty. Since I recently got bit by the whole nail art bug I find my solace and indulgence in this amazing place. They have every thing under the sun especially for nail art fanatics. I recently hauled a couple of items from them which I will share shortly in another post with you. I love the diversity they offer and carry products like wigs, jewelry, lens, lashes, makeup etc. to just name a few!
Hello my pretties! MAC is about to launch its holiday collection in India soon. This is a huge collection and has 3 parts to it - Divine Night, Stroke of Midnight and Nocturnals. I got lucky by chance and was able to score some pieces from it and as luck would have it these pieces became my last haul of 2013. I had no intention of picking anything from it as I have been waiting to get my hands on the Dior holiday collection but once I swatched some of these I was swept off my feet!
Even in households that have a washing machine, woolens, silks, and other delicate materials are still frequently hand washed as washing machines tend to have a bad reputation when it comes to cleaning fragile garments. Looking back 5 or 10 years ago, this was certainly the case, but nowadays a new washing machine is specifically designed to include many different settings, allowing users to customize the wash. This way, you have roughly the same level of control as you do when you wash something by hand, but without all the effort!
And now we come to the most awaited compilation - the best makeup items of 2013. There were a lot of excellent products that I can across this year but some of these stuck in my heart for some reason and hence have been picked for this list. A lot of them are ones that I have used quite frequently and absolutely love! I have included some pieces that I have not reviewed yet but felt that they needed to be a part of it. Some pieces were bought awhile back but I have just "discovered" them. They have been divided into different categories. Let's begin:
Hi everyone! I just wanted to update you that there are small tweaks happening to the blog. I hope that it will improve your overall experience in some manner and you like it better. Firstly I have removed some elements from the blog and changed some things which were causing it to slow down and take time in loading. So the page should load a tad faster for you from now on. This is an ongoing process and I hope to make it much better as time goes by.
