A short while back I was invited to attend the Eastern Round of the Indian Hairdressing Awards presented by L'Oreal Professional. It was an evening attire kinda event and I didn't know what to throw on. I ransacked my wardrobe like a maniac tossing aside clothes all over like a mad woman. The eternal "I-dont-have-a-thing-to-wear" syndrome plagued me while I sorted through my mountain of clothes. I spied this satin dress that I had bought a few years back on one of my trips and thanked the stars that made me buy it then...hmmm! I know what did...SALE! I picked this one up from Only during their sale period for....not 3k...not 2k....not even 1.5...I got this for around 900 bucks! Can you imagine!?!

Cafe Pranah, Kolkata

If you live in Kolkata you know how hard it is to come by low calorie food. I'm not saying there isn't any but the options are highly limited where either you spend mega bucks in 5 stars and munch on salad or soup or turn to pocket friendly option like Subway. There is nothing else...I would so miss the lovely salad bar of Nirula's when I shifted here from Delhi. Other cities have so many options available to them and even some great delivery services where they give you meals as per the diet you are following. Being a working gal I don't have the time to cook and even when I do I have no enthusiasm or will to cook. I would rather spend my time in some other manner.

Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop

Maybelline is back with another variant to their very popular Baby Lips line with a promise of vibrant neon shades. They have launched 4 variants to it with flavors like lemon, orange, watermelon and strawberry. Out of these 3 provide a sheer shade to the lips and one is transparent. The PR of the company was kind enough to send me 2 variants to try out - Oh Orange and Pink Shock (Watermelon flavor). It has been quite sometime since I have done a product review so please bear with me. I don't want to do them the way I doing em ie in the systematic break down method but will just go with the flow of it so that I can get into the mode again.

I have always been attracted to Japanese anime since a very young age. I remember being obsessed with them and would try to catch them whenever I could even if it meant my mom let me watch it for like 5 minutes before I left for school (I think I was in nursery). From the usual playful Disney characters to Snoopy and his crazy friends, from the lovableness of Winnie the pooh to the actions of Thunder Cats I would watch  whatever I got my hands on. Mind you this craze had not let up for me and I still would rather catch a cartoon any minute than anything "real". My favorite moments would be when my mom would take me to the video parlor so that I could select my next viewing pleasure.

A sinful indulgence for your senses...that was my tagline back when I was a chocolatier. A finely made piece of chocolate is a treat for all five senses - it should be glossy and appealing to behold, should be smooth to touch, have a rich intoxicating smell that awakens your desire, have a snap to it when you break it and finally should melt in your mouth with an explosion of flavor taking you beyond bliss...Ah! you can glimpse the chocolatier inside me and the passion I had for the art :) You have to be a true chocoholic to be a excellent chocolatier. So how was this addict supposed to resist the draw of Memebox Chocolate Mania box?!? As it is I have no resistance when it comes to Memebox and when these two words came into play...my Paypal password was already written out...I kid you not.
