Since my last post on the Chubby Stick I have been in a constant state of inner battle with myself. Did I get it right? Is the Revlon one really better? How about the Lakme one? Oh Damn! What if I got it wrong?!? Hey Clinique is a well respected brand....maybe....could be.....hmmm....what.....zoinks!!! So when I started to pen this post I was like I'm going to try them all out at the same time and figure out which one is actually better and lay my uncertainties to rest. Right or wrong I'm gonna figure this out.
Revlon recently launched these nail art duos range on their counters. There are 3 types available in it. Sorry I don't remember the other two. But do check out Dolon of Pout Pretty's post on them and she has mentioned the 3 types in detail. I picked up one called Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy in the shade Satellite. I really like this concept of theirs and the packing is interesting. They have some funky color combinations in these.

I just spotted this on an International blog (you can see that post HERE) and my eyes popped out of my sockets.....What the heck it that?!? I knew I had to share it with you this instant. I put a break on the post I was writing and rushed in too pen this one down and show you this sci-fi (looks like it doesn't it?) product from Avon (?!?) and it is their upcoming Avon Mega Effects Mascara.
The monsoons are here in full swing. I sooo love this weather. The sound of the rain, smell of the wet soil and the slight chill in the air. How the plants look all washed and vibrant green. So beautiful! It has its fair share of problems too but as long as I don't have to wade through icky water I absolutely adore this weather. To the topic, I introduced this brand to you sometime back called Maa Disha (click name to read that post). Their product line is mainly focused on hair fall and thinning hair issues. For me this sounded like heaven sent since I have been dealing with this issue for sometime and am yet to find the "magic pill".
Hello my sweets! Today I bring to you another requested tutorial and this has to do with grooming one's eyebrows. Brows can be such a source of pain in the neck. One would not think that this little tuft of hair can cause one so much grief. But I have been there many times and have faced the brunt of it. One little threading incident gone wrong and you are jacked for life :P Not only that, since they frame your eyes they way they look can affect the whole look of your face and a little issue with them can at times get blown to a whole different magnitude.
MAC paint pots is one of the few products that I came to know about from this brand when I started to read beauty related blogs back in the day. There was so much love and hype around this product that I must say I was severely tempted to get one for myself in hopes of recreating some mysterious magic that apparently this product arms you with. How long have I come since those naive days. But the only reason that I had not bought one back then was due to the unavailability of the shade that I wanted.
Today I bring to you a lip pencil/crayon from Clinique. These form of products have become immensely popular in recent times especially since the Revlon ones made their way here which was followed by the Lakme ones. I feel Clinique is known more for its skincare than makeup in India even though some of their pieces are very well known and highly coveted internationally. It is supposed to have a very famous shade called "Black Honey" in its lipstick line which is very hard to get your hands on. But I digress, lets look into this chubby stick.
When I first heard about this monthly jewelry box system from Dolon of Pout Pretty I screeched with joy :D. Such a fab idea don't you think? For a certain amount of money you can get 3 pieces of jewelry delivered at your doorstep. So with the workings of Velvette box in my mind I decided to look it up.
So in my attempt to finally catch up with my Velvette box reviews today I bring to you my views on the products that I got in my March box. This was a mixed bag of stuff where I got 6 products actually ranging from health to skincare to makeup. This month was dedicated to the festival of "Holi". Lets take a look at what all was sent.
I have been itching to buy something. Due to the work schedule I have I was not getting a chance to go to a mall and browse/shop. Seeing so many new things release and on top of that running out of both my MAC Brush Cleanser and Cleanse Off Oil I was long overdue a trip to the aisles. This is what pent up angst does to you. I went quite crazy I admit splurging but in the end was happy and content :)
Hey there! Back again with another nail paint from the L'Oreal Limited Edition collection for Cannes Film Festival. Today I present to you the L'or Amethyst color. One of the few that I have from the collection for which I feel they got the name right unlike the others. This one does actually have shades of purple gracing it.

Today I will present to you my experience with a brightening cream from a company called Thalgo. This is one of those companies which I have kind of heard about but not really. You know when you might have come across a name in passing but not really know about it per say. I got this as a PR sample and as always I was totally game to try out a new brand.
There is a lot of buzz about these paints in the blogsphere. Launched as a limited edition focused on the Cannes Film Festival these nail paints bring in the glitz and the glamour of the film world into our homes. Love em hate em but you just cant ignore em. Hey who would want to ignore something that look so pretty. Even though I really don't like the whole taking out the glitter polish part but I could not help myself from getting 4 of these. Today I'm going to talk about my experience with Flaming Sunset.

Hello people! Today I bring to you a very soft smokey eye look which I feel can be worn in the day. This is the first ever requested tutorial and Im just so happy about it. Rather it is the combination of 2 requests - smokey eye & FOTD. So thank you to the girls who requested for it on the blog's FB page. And I hope you all like it.
On one of my recent trips to Mumbai, me and one of my acquaintance were browsing the isles of Hypercity where she came upon the Maxfactor counter. She wanted to pick up a mascara for herself. The SA recommended the Maxfactor Xperience Volumising Mascara in Black. Then the SA did a demo on the person and it looked so gorgeous. She applied it so well that the lashes just popped. The person I'm talking about does not have very dense lashes but they are quite long and her eyes looked just so beautiful with it on that I fell for it hook, line and sinker and got one for myself too. They gave her thickness as well as curl plus with the length that she already has the entire impact was greater.
Hello my divas! Yes yes I know....you can stop rubbing your eyes now....yes I'm really late with this post but like I promised I will only bring you these once I have tested the products out in each box. So even though I'm like really late with I present to you my Feb Velvette box and my 2 bits on it.
I finally found the other shade that I wanted from this range :) Remember when I had reviewed the N*ude Touch lip gloss (click on name to see the review) awhile back and had mentioned this other pretty color that they didn't have in stock. I found it in a counter in Mumbai! Yea!! I really like the look that these glosses provide. So lets breeze through an express review:

Hello my sweets! It has been ages since I have done a Holler! post. For those of you who don't know about this, I started this series way back in the day to bring to you some interesting products that do the rounds of the international blogsphere. As usual a lot of these are not available in India yet but hopefully will soon be making the rounds of our shores. I came across this really pretty and interesting looking product that has a lot of people buzzing.
Hi there! So happy to be doing my first favorites post. Some blog posts are so common but popular around the blogsphere that everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon. So here I am with the first favs one and hopefully there will be many more to follow :)
Hey there! Today I'm going to talk about another product that I picked up from L'Oreal a few months back. It was a recent launch then and now is being promoted under their Sunset collection. I really like liquid liners and since I had bought the NYX Skinny Marker I got hooked to it completely. Usually I don't end up buying the marker types coz they dry up pretty fast but I wanted to do some precision liner and eye art kinda work so I decided to pick the NYX one. And after using it for more than a year now it is about to finally get over (love it btw) I went hunting for an alternative for it which was available easily out here.
It is crazy how much I like the texture of these pearlglide liners from MAC. I could not help myself from picking up all 4 shades from the Archie's Girls collection and then another one from the regular line. But that is a story for another day. So today I will be doing another express review on the Lord it up liner from the collection.
Hello my beauties. Today I was in a very tut-y mood and decided what the heck I'm gonna go for it! So I did this tutorial on different ways that you can apply blush and how it can affect how your face looks visually. We will also focus on the age old adage of applying the blush to the apples of the cheek and how you should modify it to suit your face. As always, remember practice make perfect and it will help you to gain an understanding of how small things effect your look. So the next time you will go more by what is right for you rather than what is assumed or preached to be right. Let's get started with the basics.
Today I'm going to feature another product that I got from The Body Needs shop (click on name to go to site - if you want to know what this shop is all about then read this article HERE). This time it is the MAC Cleanse Off Oil. You know, we all know about MAC for their awesome makeup but so few of us dare to tread and explore their other available products. There is this stigma attached in our heads that it is sooo expensive and what is the point in spending so much on so-so products when XYZ can do the job for me. Well let us all stand corrected - MAC is MAC for a reason. FYI they even do perfumes unfortunately which I have not spotted out here. And I think those are just LE's.
