I remember the time when MAC had just entered Kolkata and set up its 1st store here. The entire concept of the brand and combined with the appeal of its store used to draw me like a kid looking at a shiny new toy. But somehow my mind had this perception that the brand was too expensive and only celebs would be able to afford the stuff. I didn't have it in me to even venture inside and look around. Since I couldn't afford it the exercise seemed pointless. But one day I decided enough was enough and I would just go in and buy what I liked, to heck with the price! And to my utter surprise once I walked in it was a whole different atmosphere. Not only were the products somethings I could afford but the entire way the staff treated me was a joy and a half. And we all know, that I haven't looked back since :D
Alright ladies...its infographic time! All of us want to strut our stuff in them high heels, right? Where some are brilliant at it...others (like me) suck so bad at it that it ain't funny. Me and high heel have this cold war going on ever since I can remember where I'm bound to trip and fall when I have them on. It used to be very bad in my teens when I actually dared wearing them super high. Still it would not be enough to make me quit. But with age my heels have gone low and so has my tolerance of choosing fashion over comfort (sigh). These days you will find so many guides on how to walk in your heels but as with everything I present to you a practical guide which you can supplement with all the walking in high heels practice you need to be doing. How I wish there was somethings like this around back when I was starting out...maybe I could be stomping like a diva in them right about now...ah well :)
You know what it eez? Another day and another Memebox unboxing yo! Seriously I need me some meme rehab man :( Getting boxes like there is no tomorrow and my existence depends on them :P But they are just so tempting with all their fancy themes and stuff. I'm scared to even open a mail from them as I would be typing out my Paypal password in the blink of an eye and before I know it would end up buying another box! But hey...let me just say that I'm not complaining! If you still haven't tried em yet...what are you waiting for? Give them a whirl this instant! And hey use the code QUO2 to get 5$ off on your next purchase (valid for October only). Let me warn you...once you go Meme(box)...you wont turn back ;)
Hello mon ami! I'm back with another Halloween look for you. I hope to make this a tradition of sorts for my blog. When creating this look it struck me how odd it is that I'm so excited to do a Halloween look (something that we don't celebrate/observe/have here) and I don't end up doing anything for Diwali :P Well the latter is usually quite stressing for me with all the shopping and prep and decor that goes into it. I throw something on the last minute for the puja time rather than planning an outfit way ahead. But the former occasion excites me to no end. I can let my creative juices flow and come up with something unusual and challenging for me. Just the scope of what I can do for it is just so stimulating! Well I made this half mask and it took me a couple of tries to just get the wings right...the details sort of fell in place with each trial.
